They belong to the same landscape, the same cycles and the same world we do.
Our craft lives somewhere between them.
01 - GROW
It begins with the land
Many of the flowers and botanicals found within Forij begin in the garden, grown with the intention of becoming part of something you can carry with you. We work with the seasons rather than against them, allowing each plant the time it needs to grow, bloom and become what it was meant to be.
02 - PRESERVE
Holding what nature created
Once gathered, we carefully dry and press our flowers and botanicals to preserve as much of their natural colour and character as possible. This part of the process takes patience. Each botanical responds differently to drying and pressing, and we have learned to work with those differences. The variations are part of their beauty.
03 - PLACE
The smallest details, by hand
Once preserved, the botanicals are carefully cut and prepared by hand. Individual petals, leaves and fragments are selected and placed within each piece one at a time. At this scale, even the smallest movement matters. The natural shape of a petal, a variation in colour or the curve of a tiny leaf means no two pieces can ever be completely identical. Each becomes its own small composition of something that once grew from the earth.
INTENTION
From earth to sky
Every piece begins with a reference point, not a formula. Concrete carries the weight of the ground beneath us; diamond dust carries the light of the sky above it. Somewhere in between the two sits Fyorr. Before anything is mixed or poured, we decide what that piece is meant to hold. Sometimes that's as simple as a feeling. Sometimes it's as specific as the sky itself, a scatter of dust set with the same care as a constellation.
THE MATERIAL SPEAKS
Where light meets surface
We measure and mix concrete by hand until we reach the consistency needed for each piece. It is a material often associated with permanence, structure and the ground beneath us, but in our hands it becomes something unexpected. Diamond dust, mineral powders, pigments and subtle traces of light are worked into the material, creating depth and movement reminiscent of the night sky. What begins as something grounded becomes something that asks you to look up.
THE FINAL TOUCH
Made by hand means made with variation
At one point in the process, we stop trying to control the material and let it become what it is going to become. Concrete may create an unexpected texture. Diamond dust may catch the light from a different angle. These aren't imperfections to us. They are evidence of the materials, the process and the hands that made them. We finish each piece individually, paying attention to the small details while leaving room for the character that makes it uniquely its own.

What begins in a garden, at a workbench, or in a bowl of freshly mixed concrete eventually leaves our hands and enters yours. From there the story continues, in life and to gathered in memories. Our pieces are made to become part of you.
